5. Jesus is the One who nourishes and cherishes.

What does this say about marriage?

1. The husband must possess the character of the Savior.

2. His love must look like the cross.

3. His care must be nourishing.

4. Marriage must look like a covenant.

5. Submission must be understood as a reverent response to Christ.
